Desiring a destination wedding to celebrate a full weekend with friends and family, Samm and Sam could think of no better place than Key West, Florida. Loved ones were invited to the special day by way of romantic “something blue” invitations showcasing elegant calligraphy and velvet ribbon details. As they arrived, guests also received welcome boxes filled with beach towels, a palm tree-shaped bottle opener, koozies decorated with the couple’s wedding hashtag, and more to set the tone for the weekend.
Following their sweet “first look,” the bride and groom, along with the wedding party, were transported to the beach ceremony by way of a charming trolley while guests gathered on the sand beneath towering palm trees. All eyes were on Samm – dressed in a sleeveless gown with a plunging V-neckline and carrying a bouquet of garden roses, anemones, and dahlias – as she met her groom, who wore a navy suit and light blue tie, between two tall arrangements of tropical greenery to recite their vows. After the intimate service, attendees discovered their table numbers for the reception by way of escort cards designed to look like postcards.
Inside the dinner space, round tables were strewn with azure linens and topped with gilt chargers and candlesticks, as well as low arrangements of greenery and blooms in shades of ivory and pink. The couple, whose places were marked with “bride” and “groom” written on pieces of sea glass to complement the seaside setting, sat at the head table. Left bare of linens, the long wooden table was decorated with a verdant runner, rich-hued blooms, and plenty of candlelight. Following the sit-down dinner service, attendees savored slices of a four-layer cake and additional sweet treats. For the newlyweds, the remainder of the evening was spent laughing and dancing the night away as they celebrated both their new marriage and a memorable weekend spent with loved ones.
