Megan and Connor’s love story began quietly, through mutual friends and a series of effortless run-ins that slowly grew into something meaningful. Three years later, Connor proposed on a rain-kissed private beach in Costa Rica, surrounded by the magic of a weekend spent exploring somewhere new together: their very favorite tradition.
Wanting their celebration to feel warm, intentional, and immersive, Megan and Connor designed an entire wedding weekend rather than just a single day. Most guests traveled in, and even Dallas locals opted for a staycation at the venue, giving the whole weekend that perfect blend of destination energy and the comfort of home. Friday began with golf for the guys and poolside time for Megan before everyone gathered that evening for a western-themed welcome party complete with speeches, s’mores, and personalized cocktail touches.
After nearly 50 dresses and four boutiques, Megan unexpectedly found “the one” at Neiman Marcus: a Monique Lhuillier ball gown she almost didn’t try on. It was an instant yes. Paired with a custom-length veil and sentimental heirlooms from her grandmothers, her look was elegant, personal, and entirely her own.
The morning of the wedding unfolded slowly and sweetly. Connor called early just to say “happy wedding day,” and both were in tears by 8am, a preview of the heartfelt day ahead. Her first looks became treasured memories: one with Connor, one with her dad, one with her three brothers as loved ones watched from above, and finally one with her girlfriends, who saw her dress for the first time and immediately burst into tears.
Connor took the lead on the elements he loved most: the music, food, drinks, and the energy of the night. Cocktail hour featured a martini cart complete, a detail that guests still rave about. Music was their highest priority, and DJ Nate Nelson curated the entire evening flawlessly. The planning team surprised Megan with CO₂ smoke cannons on the dance floor, a moment that delighted the crowd and gave everyone a refreshing cool-down.
As Megan shared, “It was such a beautiful, love-filled weekend. I wish we could do it over and over and over again.” And that’s exactly how the weekend felt- intentional, joyful, deeply personal, and unforgettable.
