From the very beginning of their engagement, Macye and Will approached wedding planning with intention and excitement. With just under a year between “yes” and “I do,” they thoughtfully curated a celebration that felt timeless, elevated, and deeply personal: a reflection of both their style and their story.
The ceremony took place at Hotel Crescent Court, where classic architecture and elegant walkways created the perfect backdrop. One thing they both agreed on early: no first look. Will wanted the moment of seeing Macye for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and that anticipation shaped the flow of the day. Draping along the Crescent walkway ensured she remained completely hidden until it was time, adding to the drama and emotion of the ceremony.
White and green florals set the tone: clean, modern, and refined. Macye gravitated toward a crisp white palette accented with soft sage, creating a look that felt seasonal without leaning overly traditional. Every detail was considered, from the paper suite to the reception design. The envelope liners featured custom artwork painted by her cousin, depicting the ceremony setting, while delicate hummingbird motifs appeared throughout the celebration as a tribute to her late grandfather. These subtle, meaningful touches added depth to the overall aesthetic.
Her gown by Martina Liana struck the perfect balance between princess and modern sophistication. After trying on numerous dresses, she customized the skirt to achieve the exact silhouette she envisioned: structured yet soft, classic yet current. The simplicity of the gown allowed her pearl-detailed veil to shine. Later in the evening, flowers woven into her hair added a playful, celebratory moment to her reception look.
Guest experience was front of mind. A champagne cart greeted attendees as they arrived, offering both bubbly and a custom mocktail lemonade spritzer so everyone could partake in the celebration. It was an elegant and thoughtful detail that immediately set the tone.
The reception design carried the white-and-gold aesthetic forward in a bold way. A reimagined floral halo floated above the dance floor, intentionally designed to feel more vine-like and organic than structured. Glossy finishes added a modern edge, and gold chairs brought warmth and dimension to the space. The dance floor itself incorporated custom artwork, another nod to family creativity and collaboration.
Their first dance to “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer felt straight out of a movie. After taking lessons together, they executed spins and lifts that made the moment feel cinematic and effortless.
As the night continued, the dance floor never emptied. One standout moment was singing “Pink Pony Club” on stage together, surrounded by friends and family. And just when guests thought they had seen it all, oversized cutouts of the pets Baker and Archer made a surprise appearance, bringing laughter and an extra dose of personality to the party.
For their exit, Macye envisioned a white vintage convertible under fireworks, and that vision came to life beautifully. After the grand send-off, the car took them on a quiet ride through downtown Dallas, giving them a few uninterrupted minutes to soak in everything before returning to the hotel as husband and wife.
