Many Dallas brides carry poise, hospitality, and a classic regality that transcends generations. Our studio design was influenced by how we envisioned this bride to feel as she stepped through our doors—feelings of familiarity, peace, and inspiration. As the studio came to fruition, we reflected on who inspires the Dallas bride most. Kate Middleton, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, and Princess Diana all found their way onto our mood board as we dreamt up a series of bridal portraits to take place in W. Lovers Lane—the perfect culmination of our work.
Gracie Studio, who has been designing hand-painted Chinese wallpaper since the 1700s, was one of my first calls as we began bringing royally-inspired portraits to life. Calls to William Noble, Jackson Durham, Warren Barron, and Maitee Miles followed shortly after. As models Lindsey and Bella slipped into fabulous gowns by Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, Romona Keveza, and Mira Zwillinger (to name a few), we saw glimpses of royalty and had multiple déjà vu moments.
Beyond royal portraits, the parallels of fashion and interior design are evident. A delicate, floral embroidered Mira Zwillinger gown emphasized the trellis accents and blue and white chinoiserie of our meeting room. A relaxed yet structured Reem Acra gown sat atop the velvet green sofa in our layered meeting room. A lace ball gown with a subtle, risque edge complimented the all-american masculinity of John’s office. Beautiful brides in beautiful spaces consistently remains are biggest MO, and we look forward to further opportunities to do what we love.
