Happy anniversary Paige and Miles! Last summer, on June 22, 2019, the couple married at Highland Park Presbyterian Church and dined and danced with their closest friends and family at Brook Hollow Country Club. Working with Emily Clarke Events, Paige chose a pastel blue to influence the event aesthetic—from the bridesmaid dresses, the whimsical ribbon floating off the bouquets, the blue and white chinoiserie filling the ballroom, and the blue watercolored illustration backing the band. Bella Flora filled floral arrangements on the tables and hanging over the archways with summer hydrangea, orchids, garden roses, and even thistle in the same blue hues. The wedding was as timeless as Paige’s wedding gown—a strapless white fitted gown and exaggerated bow with train in back.
Paige and Miles entered the Brook Hollow ballroom straight into their first dance to Peter Frampton’s ‘Baby, I Love Your Way’. In between the dinner and dancing, the couple cut the bridal cake and passed Dallas’ best ice cream, Wild About Harry’s, which they renamed for the event “Wild About Miles”! When it was time for farewells, the new Mr. and Mrs. Purnell exited Brook Hollow in a vintage Cadillac convertible and sparkler finale.
