Nancy and Mario’s love story began in 2004, while they were both working at Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, a restaurant owned by Nancy’s family in Dallas. At the time, Nancy was a hostess, and Mario worked as a waiter. Nancy fondly recalls their first encounter, saying, “I remember meeting him and thinking, ‘This guy thinks he’s cute!'” Little did they know that their paths would cross again years later.
Life took them in different directions for a while, but in 2021 Mario asked Nancy out for dinner at Hillstone. From that moment, their journey towards happily ever after began.
Fast forward to September 30th, 2023, when Nancy and Mario celebrated their marriage at the enchanting Hall of Lights. The day couldn’t have been more perfect for their outdoor ceremony, held during the golden hour of a beautiful autumn day. The aisle was adorned with arches of white flowers, culminating in a breathtaking floral altar. As Mario eagerly awaited Nancy’s entrance, a radiant smile illuminated his face as their daughter walked down the aisle as the adorable flower girl. Nancy made her grand entrance just as the sun began its descent, casting a warm, golden glow on the stunning floral arrangements.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of their wedding was having Nancy’s sister officiate the ceremony. Nancy expressed, “I could not have asked for anyone better than her. Her words and heartfelt presence made it truly meaningful.” After heartfelt vows were exchanged and “I do”s were proclaimed, the newlyweds invited their guests to share a tequila shot, a unique and fun twist before they made their joyful exit as Mr. and Mrs. Reyes, hand in hand.
The reception, flawlessly coordinated by Events by Kristen and Something Pretty Floral, was a vision of elegance. A white floral wonderland with contrasting black decor and touches of green showcased the couple’s vision for their special day: simple, modern, chic, and undeniably romantic. Overhead, twinkling lights created the illusion of dancing under a starry night sky, adding an extra touch of enchantment to the evening. With tequila flowing and a lively band keeping the energy high, the celebration continued well into the night. The festivities concluded with Nancy and Mario exiting through a tunnel of guests who showered them with white streamers, creating a spectacular send-off.
