Classic and Elegant at the DCC with the Bayers

On a beautiful March weekend in Dallas, Texas, Dorothy and Travis were wed in the perfect blend of tradition and elegance. The ceremony, held at Highland Park United Methodist Church, was timeless and beautiful, seamlessly transitioning into a reception filled with classic charm at the DCC.

As the doors of HPUMC opened, Dorothy, wearing a gown that softly whispered of family heritage with a piece of her mother’s dress lovingly sewn into the hem, made her grand entrance. Dorothy carried a delicate bouquet of all white tulips as she walked down the aisle. The Bayers made the decision to uphold the classic tradition of waiting to see one another until Dorothy walked down the aisle, adding to the anticipation of the ceremony.

Dorothy honored the age-old adage of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Her dress and accessories represented something new, while the piece of her mother’s dress served as something old. A diamond bracelet, also her mother’s, was the borrowed treasure, and her bridesmaids’ dresses added a splash of blue.

Dorothy envisioned her wedding day to be traditional and classic, with a nod to a garden and spring-like ambiance. The result was a beautiful ballroom decorated in a pastel palette of blooming flowers. Shades of light blue and blush were accented with bolder hues of orange and green, creating a real pop in the decor. Dorothy’s creativity shone through in the reception details. Each bar at the Dallas Country Club was christened “Bennett’s Bar”, complete with signs featuring their dog’s face.

Following cake cutting, Mr. and Mrs. Bayer took to the dance floor to celebrate. Their loved ones joined them in celebration as the band brought high energy for the entirety of the evening. As this memorable night came to a close, Dorothy and Travis were sent off in a shower of rose petals.

From the vows exchanged at HPUMC to the last dance at the DCC, Dorothy and Travis’s wedding was a celebration of love, tradition, and family. It was a day that will be remembered for its elegance, personal touches, and we are honored to have played a role in it!
