Ali and Alex’s wedding in Austin, Texas combined classic elegance with the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. The couple’s carefully chosen details and heartfelt moments made their wedding day both beautiful and memorable.
Describing the overall theme of their wedding, Ali shared, “I would describe it as classic, comfortable neutrals in the Texas Hill Country.” The couple chose a color scheme that featured neutral tones accentuated by lush greenery. The décor included wooden furniture of various styles, creating a sense of warmth and homeliness. Highlighting the reception were rattan chandeliers above the dance floor and greenery draped across the ceiling, enhancing the venue. A stunning floral arch over the fireplace by the wedding cake stood out as a focal point of the decor. “The florals and the trees were spectacular! Everything was perfect! I cannot express how thankful I am to Jackson Durham for making every event better than I ever imagined it could be,” Ali gushed.
One of her favorite parts of the planning process was the décor mockup by Jackson Durham. “They decorated a mini room with everything they envisioned using for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Seeing it in person really solidified how much I LOVED everything they chose! It was truly spectacular,” she explained.
When deciding on the venue, the couple wanted a location that would allow their wedding ceremony and reception to be in the same place, offering a weekend getaway experience for their guests. Ali knew Omni Barton Creek was the perfect place as soon as she walked into the hotel lobby, saying, “The style perfectly aligned with the vision I had for the wedding.”
The dress design process was a highlight for Ali, crafted by the talented Nardos Design. Ali wanted a versatile look that could transition from the ceremony to the reception without changing outfits. The solution was an innovative “underdress” with a removable skirt and top. “Nardos really is an expert and knows how to make everyone feel beautiful,” Ali praised.
The reception was filled with joy, culminating in a memorable moment when Ali and Alex joined the band Professor D on stage to sing “Mr. Brightside” at the top of their lungs. “It was so special to look out from the stage and see all our favorite people having just as much fun as we were!” Ali exclaimed.
