Avery and Michael’s wedding at Big Cedar Lodge was a celebration brimming with joy and highlighted their love story perfectly. Avery fondly recalls the special surprise from her bridesmaids: a heartfelt book filled with pictures and notes, making the getting-ready process at the Big Cedar Spa even more memorable. The relaxed atmosphere, complete with mimosas and music, set the perfect tone for the day, keeping Avery uplifted and excited rather than nervous.
The first look between Avery and Michael was the perfect private moment to soak in all of the emotions of the day. Filled with excitement and anticipation, seeing each other for the first time brought a flood of emotions. Avery described it as surreal and reveled in the reality of wedding day finally arriving.
The overall theme of the wedding was a blend of bright pinks and blues, enhancing the natural beauty of Big Cedar Lodge. Avery wanted the decor to complement the venue, not overshadow it. The bridesmaids’ dresses added the perfect pop of color, while small details, like butterfly motifs, added a unique touch. Avery was thrilled with how everything came together so beautifully. One of the highlights was the incredible cake, a showstopper designed with trust and creativity. Avery had given her cake designer, Heather, free rein to craft a masterpiece, and the result exceeded all expectations.
Avery’s favorite ceremony moment was the chapel doors opening, revealing the stunning decor and the support of their loved ones. The appearance of a white butterfly added a symbolic touch, making the moment even more special. The family prayer, replacing the traditional unity candle, was another deeply moving part of the ceremony, with 300 guests joining in a powerful collective prayer.
At the reception, the choreographed first dances were a standout. Avery and Michael, along with their parents, surprised guests with their impressive moves on the dance floor. Crowd-surfing began later in the evening, taking the energy to all new levels. Dancing and celebrating with friends and family, the dance floor was never empty, just as the Greens had hoped.
The night culminated with a private last dance while guests created a tunnel for Avery and Michael’s exit. Cheers to the Greens!!
