A little snow couldn’t get in the way of Talaya and Parker’s Telluride wedding. In fact, the snowy peaks rising out of the mist made the day, if not the entire weekend, even more enchanting.
The couple prioritized the guests’ experience in planning the destination weekend. From a pickleball tournament to a private boutique shopping day, guests experienced the best of what Telluride had to offer. “We wanted all of our guests to feel special and loved,” Talaya shared. Having an entire weekend with the guests, from a welcome party, to post rehearsal dinner s’mores and espresso martinis, to the wedding day allowed the bride and groom to spend quality time with every guest.
The biggest surprise of the weekend wasn’t one the bride and groom planned for their guests, however. It was watching what they’d thought would be a 75-degree wedding day transform into flurries of snow.
With a mountain-top ceremony out of the question, the couple’s team of vendors, including the fabulous Bridal Veil Floral, needed to transform the deck into a new ceremony site. And what they created turned into Talaya’s favorite memory of the entire wedding day. “Walking out and seeing Parker and seeing the set up be so beautiful–with the changes it was even better than it would have been before. I loved our ceremony on that deck.”
What wasn’t to love? Talaya and Parker said their vows under a cross-topped floral alter. Talaya dazzled in a stunning Vera Wang gown in front of the snow-dusted mountains.
“It was snowing literally the entire morning,” Talaya recalled. “It stopped for the hour of our ceremony, and kicked back up the moment everyone sat down for dinner.”
Talaya chose muted sages, whites, and soft pinks to make for a classic color palette with feminine accents. Rhinestone Rodeo kept guests dancing all night, and even learned the couple’s first dance song from a small Texas band. The song’s title, “Come Do a Little Life with Me,” is also etched into Parker’s wedding band.
Telluride is a special place for the couple. Talaya grew up vacationing there with her family, and made new memories there with Parker while they were dating. They’ll cherish the memory of bringing their closest family and friends together there.
“When we walked into the dining room, we looked out and saw every single person that has impacted our lives and our relationship. They’ve supported us and encouraged us our whole four years of dating and growing up individually. I know that’s something I’ll always cherish.”
