On February 1, 2019 Billy Bailey asked Lauren Thompson to marry him at waters edge in Lakeside Park. We photographed Lauren as she excitedly put her hands to her face and exclaimed, “yes!” From engagement to engagement portraits to bridal portraits, we had the privilege to come alongside Lauren and Billy throughout their entire engagement season and wedding so Saturday, August 17 was a celebratory day for our entire team!
Lauren wore a custom Nardos Design fitted gown to walk down the HPUMC aisle, preceded by 20 bridesmaids in blush and soft gray awaiting Lauren at the alter with Billy. Lauren and Billy spoke traditional vows finished with an “I do” leading to a cheerful walk down the aisle as husband and wife. Right before walking out the chapel doors, they stopped for a final kiss—a favorite portrait from the day.
Lauren chose soft summer colors for her Brook Hollow wedding reception including soft blues, pinks, corals, and greens. The ballroom was full of garden scenes and Lauren and Billy’s favorite things—like buffet stations representing their favorite meals and a “Polo Lounge” built to resemble the iconic space at the Beverley Hills Hotel. Most of the evening, however, was spent on the dance floor—a white monogrammed floor with a chinoiserie backed stage beautifully built to bring the entire room together. Every guest made their way to the dance floor, celebrating the couple in big, Texas fashion. The evening came to a close with a sparkler exit and the couple waving ‘au revoir’ as their wedding season closed with a trip to the beautiful Côte d’Azur.
