Meredith and Hardik met while they were attending college at the University of Texas in Austin. “We were both members of Silver Spurs, an organization that takes care of the mascot, Bevo. Later on, Hardik became a houseboy at my sorority, which really sealed the deal” Meredith and Hardik were engaged on May 1, 2021, on the balcony of her parents’ condo in Austin, Texas.“Their condo has a beautiful view of downtown Austin and the University of Texas campus. We were able to see the UT tower during the proposal. The best part was Hardik completely caught me by surprise! It was a special commencement for our engagement filled with memories we shared together during college and law school. The cherry on top was Hardik arranged for ninety of our closest friends to fly out to Austin and surprise me after the engagement. At that moment, I realized I had made the right decision by saying “Yes!” If this is how Hardik handled the proposal, I knew the rest of our lives together was going to be spectacular as husband and wife.”
On June 18, 2022, Meredith and Hardik became Mr. and Mrs. Sheth in a mid-summer wedding in Dallas. Meredith describes her vision for the wedding as “elegant, romantic, vibrant and a secret garden”. Sarah Morris with Todd Events executed Meredith’s vision for her wedding day. “The style of our wedding day perfectly reflects the style of my family: affectionate, elegant, and fun. My mom worked diligently with our wedding planner, Sarah Morris from Todd Events, to bring a “Secret Garden” theme to life that showcased the values my family holds dear. The intimate backdrop of the reception celebrated the love my family shares with each other.” Flowers for the weekend were designed by Avant Garden in Dallas. A mix of blues, whites, yellows and greens were perfectly paired to fit the secret garden theme.
Over the course of the weekend, Meredith wore multiple looks. For her wedding day, Meredith wore a simple and elegant strapless gown with floral appliques by Patti Flowers. She accessorized with pearls and finished her look with a stunning veil. “Patti Flowers made my veil custom for my wedding. It was so fun to design my 13-foot veil with Patti, my mom, and my sister. We all had a delightful time picking out which flowers we wanted to display on the veil and hand placing each of them along the fabric. Having my veil custom-made was so special because my mom and my sister were involved every step of the way and it is one more special memory I have with them during the designing of my wedding dress.” Meredith’s family wore custom looks by Hadleighs over the course of the weekend. “My vision for the wedding was elegant, romantic, and timeless. Gable Shaikh from Hadleigh’s curated the perfect collection for my entire family throughout our wedding. She designed floral motifs on each of our outfits throughout the event. Each outfit throughout the events served as a preview building up to the crescendo of outfits at the wedding.”
The reception was held in a tent at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum. “We decided to have our wedding at the arboretum because it perfectly fit into our vision of the wedding. The venue was sentimental for me because I had grown up in Dallas and hold many memories at the arboretum with my parents and sister. Hardik and I even shared a few dates at the arboretum as we grew closer together. I wanted to share this special place with my family, old and new, and show them the best Dallas has to offer.” The interior was decorated with greenery and was filled with flowers. Grand arrangements of hydrangeas and roses stood atop the tables.Candles scattered the room and twinkling lights covered the walls. Overhead, gold lanterns lit the space. Meredith’s cake, created by Fancy Cakes by Lauren, was six tiers and incorporated multiple design aspects. The base, shaped as a hexagon, was decorated with the same floral appliques on her veil. Their wedding crest was printed in silver foil on one of the top tiers. Fancy Cakes by Lauren also created Hardik’s groom’s cake, which was a life-like cake of the UT mascot, Bevo.
Meredith debuted a second look, a strapless mini dress with ruffles on the top and bottom. The second dress displayed her fabulous sparkly shoes. The party swelled as Mr. and Mrs. Sheth took the stage for the University of Texas school song. Glowing cowboy hats were fittingly passed out at this time. Meredith and Hardik got the whole crowd dancing, chanting and throwing up the “Hook ‘em horns” sign. Before exiting, Meredith changed into her final look of the night. A simple strapless dress with a spectacular long trailing cape with lace detail. Mr. and Mrs. Sheth took off in streamers before hopping into their getaway car. Congratulations Meredith and Hardik!
