Maggie and Ryan welcomed loved ones to Austin, Texas for their sophisticated winter wedding. Friends and family found their seats at pews embellished with ivory florals for the ceremony at The Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church. The bride carried a creamy bouquet of garden roses and hydrangeas as she walked down the white aisle runner on the arm of her father. At last she met her groom at the altar, which was minimally decorated with a wood cross bedecked with blush and ivory blooms so as to place the focus on the beauty of the sanctuary.
The couple then joined their guests at the Austin Country Club for the reception. Before entering the ballroom, friends and family mingled for cocktail hour in a rustic-chic room with stone walls, wood beams, and iron chandeliers. Archways were festooned with pink and vanilla flowers, foreshadowing the décor to come. Inside the ballroom, tables were adorned with soft-toned blossom and surrounded by elegant chairs as well as banquette-style seating. Lounge areas featured rose-colored velvet sofas and gilt cocktail tables ideal for resting in between dances. The five-layer cake was displayed on a stunning swing adorned with fresh blooms.
An outdoor area complete with a large bar featuring a hedge wall backdrop and the newlyweds’ monogram provided an additional place for revelers to relax. Guests enjoyed cigars as well as serving themselves s’mores at cozy fire-pits. At the end of the evening, Maggie put on a chic fur wrap before a grand sparkler exit as the bride and groom made their way into a classic car that departed through a dramatic firework fountain exit.
