Destination wedding weekends offer ultimate opportunities for celebratory festivities and extended escapes, which is exactly what Abby, Jesse, and the Clarke family provided for their guests Labor Day weekend 2018. Abby and Jesse’s wedding day brought put us on cloud nine, but the celebrations actually began two days prior at Hotel Jerome. Todd Events assisted in welcoming guests to “sail into love”—an ode to Abby and Jesse’s meet-cut. Abby wore white ruffles and stilettos, Jesse wore plaid and denim, and guests toasted the future Mr. and Mrs. with spicy margaritas and globally-inspired hors d’oeuvres. The following evening at Aspen Kitchen, cheeks were sore from smiles and laughter made during memorable toasts by family and friends. This is what we love about capturing rehearsal dinners—they bring up old stories, cherished memories, and many sweet tears in honor of the bride and groom. It’s the perfect opener to ‘the best day of your life’.
The gift of long wedding weekends lies within the opportunity to know the bride, groom, and their families on a deeper level. Hearing the toasts and mingling amongst life-long friends provides a further sense of ease for the photographer as wedding day occurs.
