Beth and Cole were married on the tenth of December in an elegant holiday soiree at Northwood Country Club.
The pair met in college while attending the University of Texas. “Cole is 2 years older than me and we both went to UT Austin. I knew of him but we never crossed paths until after I graduated! We met in Dallas at a charity event and got to talking. We clicked immediately and went on a date the following week.” After 4 years of dating, Cole proposed to Beth at the Dallas Arboretum. Beth’s sister helped coordinate the proposal with Cole and they crafted a plan to have Beth dressed and proposal ready by saying they were taking family Christmas card photos. “Once we arrived and walked to the spot for “Christmas pictures,” Cole walked out and got down on one knee.” Cole popped the question on December 10th, 2021 and they were married exactly a year later.
Beth’s journey to find her dress led her to Nardos Design here in Dallas. “We had visited 2 stores on a Friday and couldn’t say yes to the dress! I was feeling very defeated. We had one more appointment that weekend with Nardos. It was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Nardos was able to listen to my exact wants and create a dress on the spot! We took the bottom of one dress, the top of another, and a piece of Italian lace. She started pinning the lace on my arms and neck as well as over the dress. I could see my vision start to come to life and we knew that this was the answer! She also made me feel like a million bucks every time you see her, which made the dress experience so magical and exciting!”
The Marlow’s ceremony was held at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Beth recalls her favorite moment from her ceremony as exchanging vows with Cole. “I thought I would be very nervous talking at the altar. Cole made me feel so calm and happy that I couldn’t wait to make those promises to him in front of everyone we love!”
After nuptials, it was time to celebrate at the Northwood Country Club! Cole’s family ties inspired their decision to hold their reception at the club. “He grew up going to Northwood and is a member there. It was also very special to us that his parents had their reception there when they got married!” The ballroom was decorated in elegant Christmas decor and an array of white flowers. Beth wanted an elegant and timeless look, which was certainly achieved. Fun Christmas details were woven into elements of the reception, including their cake. Beth worked with Fancy Cakes by Lauren to execute her vision for her cake. “I have always said that I wanted a big beautiful cake with subtle detail. We met with Fancy Cakes by Lauren and she pulled out a book filled with cake designs! We found a design we liked and used it as inspiration. Cole and I wanted to use our dog, George, throughout the wedding in certain places, and felt the cake was a perfect opportunity! My amazing planner had the idea to have him pop out of the side of the cake with a Santa hat and we loved her idea!”
Mr. and Mrs. Marlow danced with guests all night long. “There are so many happy moments from our reception that it is hard to choose my favorite part! Any time we were on stage with the band was my favorite. Sometimes it was with friends or family, or just us singing “All I want for Christmas is you” as the last song! Singing and celebrating with everyone we love was so fun.”
Congratulations Beth and Cole!!
