Carly Gray and Anthony Lukefahr married on September 4, 2020 at the very place they became engaged at Carly’s family’s river home just outside Waco, Texas. The couple worked with Katy at Keely Thorne Events to dream up an elegant, timeless wedding day with a touch of modernity.
Storm clouds began to roll over the Brazos River shortly before the tented ceremony began. Rain drops began to lightly fall as the processional started and the groom, along with the wedding party, walked an umbrella-lined path to the wedding aisle to prepare for the bride’s entrance. As the weather crescendoed, Carly exited the river house and entered the ceremony arm-in-arm with her father. Amidst a storm, as if they heavens cheered for the couple, Carly and Anthony said ‘I do!’
Guests proceeded to the reception tent which was adorned in timeless peach and pink hues and loads of candlelight. Tall, glass candelabra’s filled long tables and gold pendant chandeliers hung over the dance floor (which would be fully of partiers later in the night). For the seated dinner, guests enjoyed a cheese board instead of a salad as an ode to the bride’s favorite course! The newlyweds mixed and mingled with all their closest family and friends while the six-layered cake was passed amongst the revelers. The evening came to a close with a private, final dance for the couple to “Farther Along” by Josh Garrels and a sparkler exit through the floral arch!
