On a warm, summers day four years ago, the time had finally come for friends and family to gather together for Anna Waggoner and Will Gray’s wedding. Park Cities Presbyterian Church was elegantly decorated with white and green florals and chinoiserie vases planking the altar—a design element to be seen throughout the whole day. Anna was a timeless bride wearing an a-line Carolina Herrera gown and carrying a bridal bouquet of ivory roses and peonies. Her walk up the PCPC stairs with a an anticipatory smile just outside the chapel doors is one of our favorite portraits from the day! With an excited grin towards her father, they walk down the PCPC aisle to meet Will and take vows.
Following the service, guests were invited to the Dallas Country Club ballroom for a celebratory evening. The ballroom showcased a summery color palette of greens, blues, and ivories fit for a classic garden party. Round and rectangular tables were adorned with lime and blue linens in checks and stripes and floral flowed out of blue-and-white ginger jars and alabaster vessels. Anna and Will’s cakes matched the decor supremely in some of our favorite wedding cakes to date. The bridal cake, sitting on a stand covered in moss, bloomed with sugary flowers in pops of pastels topped with an acrylic butterfly and the groom’s cake mirrored his alma mater. Behind the cake presentation, blue-and-white plates hung on boxwood walls mirroring the ballroom’s decor.
On a stage backed by boxwoods, guests danced all night long holding koozies personalized with “Oh Happy Gray” and wearing dance floor accessories like sunglasses and glow sticks. As the night came to an end, guests tosses white rose petals on the newlyweds as they exited and drove away in a vintage Cadillac.
