Courtney and Will’s love story began long before their wedding day. These childhood friends turned high school sweethearts began dating as freshmen, and it marked the beginning of a love that would carry them through 11 years. “Will and I grew up together! I don’t remember a time when he wasn’t a part of my life. Lucky me! We celebrated our 11-year dating anniversary just a month before our wedding,” Courtney shared.
In July 2022, Courtney and Will went on a family trip to Vail, Colorado. “My family was planning to go as well this week because we were all going to attend the Midland’s Concert in Beaver Creek! We had plans to grab drinks before the concert, but instead of heading directly to the restaurant, we took a detour to the Beaver Creek chapel where Will popped the question! It was a dream come true. We joined our families afterward for drinks and dinner and continued the celebration with the Midland Concert!”
Upon their return to Dallas, the whirlwind of wedding planning began. Courtney wisely enlisted the expertise of planner Allison & Co Events to bring her dream wedding to life. One of their initial decisions was to choose the perfect venue, and Courtney was captivated by Brook Hollow Golf Club after touring it. “We fell in love with Brook Hollow Golf Club. What truly won us over was the golf course and the view, which made it feel as though we were far from Dallas. Having cocktail hour on the lawn was something I really wanted for my guests so that they were able to experience the beautiful view as well!”
Courtney and Allison worked diligently to curate the ideal color palette, consisting of beautiful shades of blues, greens, and yellows. Courtney wanted the colors of her decor to be reflected in the bridesmaids’ dresses, a personalized touch that allowed her best friends to shine. “I wanted my girls to select different dresses that they loved and could wear again. We collaborated with Katie from My Wedding Wardrobe, and she and her team compiled a selection of dresses for my bridesmaids to choose from. With a larger wedding party, it was so fun to see each of my girls’ personalities shine through the dresses they chose. I love how it all turned out!”
On September 23rd, 2023, Courtney and Will were pronounced as Mr. & Mrs. Esquivel at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. The ceremony was a beautiful gathering filled with friends and family who had come to celebrate Courtney and Will’s love story. One of Courtney’s cherished moments from the ceremony was seeing Will for the first time that day as she walked down the aisle.
The reception was held at Brook Hollow Golf Club, commencing with cocktail hour on the lush green. Inside the ballroom at Brook Hollow, a stunning canopy hung above the wedding party’s table on the porch. “Allison executed our vision perfectly, and it turned out amazing! It added a unique and fun touch to the room, and our wedding party had so much fun getting to enjoy dinner there!” Courtney shared. The decor beautifully incorporated the blend of blue and green seen in the linens, bar facades, and floral arrangements. The entire space was meticulously decorated, offering an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. One of the highlights for Courtney was the wedding cakes. “My cake was inspired by elements of my wedding dress, and Will’s groom’s cake was based on his cowboy hat that he wore from his days as a Texas Cowboy at UT.”
The reception began with a memorable first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Esquivel. Will twirled Courtney around as guests cheered them on. Taylor Pace Orchestra infused energy into the dance floor, ensuring the party continued all night long. At one point, Will crowd surfed, taking the celebration to new heights.
As the evening drew to a close, Courtney and Will savored the final moments with a private last dance before their exit from Brook Hollow. The Esquivels bid farewell in a stylish orange Chevy Bronco, a fitting choice for these devoted Texas fans, driven by Will’s cousin Owen. It was a spectacular conclusion to a night filled with joy and festivities.
Congratulations to Courtney and Will on their marriage, and the beginning of a beautiful new chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Esquivel!
