Highland Park United Methodist Church is no stranger to love stories, but Dorothy’s bridal session added a unique flair to its storied halls.
Dorothy’s gown was a beautiful strapless ball gown from Stanley Korshak. It was different from what she originally pictured herself in. “I always thought I would wear something very slim-fitting with a mock neck,” Dorothy begins, reflecting on her initial ideas for her wedding attire. However, fate had other plans. “On a whim, I tried on my dress and absolutely fell in love,” she shares, describing the moment she found ‘the one’. “I loved the large skirt and ruffle neckline. I loved the simplicity of the fabric. I felt like it was a unique twist on a classic and timeless bridal gown.”
Dorothy’s attention to detail extended beyond her gown. Her jewelry choices were carefully curated to complement her ensemble. “My earrings were from Stanley Korshak,” she reveals, emphasizing her penchant for quality and elegance. But it was the diamond flower bracelet, borrowed from her mother’s collection, that added sentimental value to her bridal look.
Stanley Korshak played a pivotal role in Dorothy’s bridal journey, as she found her dream gown with the help of Kim Click. “The BEST!” she exclaims, expressing her gratitude for the exceptional service. The gown, designed by Amsale, perfectly captured Dorothy’s vision of timeless beauty.
Dorothy’s bridal session at Highland Park United Methodist Church was absolutely beautiful. “My mom came and helped me, which was really special,” she shares, highlighting the bond shared between mother and daughter during this intimate moment. Taking place on Valentine’s Day, coinciding with Ash Wednesday, added an extra layer of excitement to the atmosphere. “The church had a lot of people around and a lot of things going on,” Dorothy recalls, reminiscing about the lively ambiance.
As if the day couldn’t get any better, Dorothy had a romantic surprise awaiting her after the bridal session. “Travis had set up a date night for us afterward at il Bracco for Valentine’s Day,” she reveals.
We can’t wait to share more from Dorothy and Travis’s wedding day!
