Alaina Leggette and Thomas Lukens said “I do” in a lively celebration this past fall. With a ceremony at SMU’s Perkins Chapel (where the couple both attended school) followed by a colorful reception at The Crescent Club, the day was full of the same fabulous spirit that the couple possesses.
Although the couple’s special day had changed and downsized from their original plan, their new day was much more reflective of their personalities. The bride noted that the best part of having to delay their wedding this year was that it allowed them to lean into what they really wanted to have at their wedding instead of what they thought was expected!
Alaina began the day in a romantic Monique Lhuillier dress with a lily of the valley bouquet (always a favorite!). Her and Thomas shared an intimate first look moment that was full of the brightest smiles – an indicator of the happy day that was to come! A shower of flower petals ushered the couple out of the ceremony. It was the perfect welcome for the newest Mr. and Mrs. Lukens!
The Crescent Club was dressed to the nines in vivid floral arrangements created by Branching Out Events. The bright pops of color created a beautiful contrast to the warm glow of the room. Once the cake had been cut and dinner had been served, Alaina had an outfit change that was a surprise to all! Her floor length polka dot gown was as bubbly as she was in every sense of the way. As the night came to close the couple sipped on champagne and soaked in every moment of their special day with their closest friends and family.
