Kyndall and Dylan met during their Sophomore year of college at Texas Christian University. After five and a half years of dating, Dylan got down on one knee on the campus where they first met. “We were on our way to my birthday dinner at Joe T’s and Dylan started driving a different direction than we normally would have gone, so I figured it out as we pulled up to TCU and he insisted we get out of the car to go take a walk to the commons!” A real full circle moment! It was only fitting that their wedding ceremony took place at Robert Carr Chapel, on TCU’s campus. “Robert Carr Chapel was a non-negotiable for us! We knew we met at TCU, dated through most of our TCU years, got engaged there, so we had to get married on campus!”
For her wedding day, Kyndall wore a full ball gown featuring a bateau neckline and U-shape back from Sareh Nouri. “I also had them add little buttons down the zipper! My veil had lace applique with pearl and crystal accents that ended up perfectly matching the diamond and pearl earrings Dylan gave me as a wedding gift! Working with Karen at Neiman Marcus Bridal Salon was one of my very favorite parts of the wedding planning!” She paired her dress with the cutest light blue Manolo Blahniks.
Reception festivities were held downtown at the Fort Worth Club. “We had always heard that the Fort Worth Club was a great venue and had amazing food, so we took a chance on it. We just had to tweak it to match our aesthetic a bit with draping and lighting, but thanks to Jackson Durham that was easy!” Pink hydrangeas and peonies decorated the room. Fountains were filled with flowers and arrangements were thoughtfully placed on top of tables. “The flowers were what I was most excited about and inspired pretty much everything through the whole process. I went to the Jackson Durham team with Haylie Jackson knowing that I wanted to have pink peonies and hydrangeas wherever possible if they were in season. We ended up choosing the light pinks, with pops of brighter pink and pops of green because it felt fresh like the beginning of June!” The ice bar even had pink flowers frozen inside! On the front of the bar was the Hoover’s wedding crest etched in the ice. Pink rosé champagne lined the bar top waiting for guests to grab and enjoy. With the hot summer heat in Texas, it is no wonder Mr. and Mrs. Hoover chose to cool off with a Fort Worth ice cream favorite. “We are having a Melt Ice Creams “Happy Cart” which is their little cart of ice cream at the reception, which is our favorite dessert in Fort Worth!”
Planner extraordinaire Haylie Paige Events coordinated all things pink for Kyndall and Dylan’s wedding day. Fancy Cakes by Lauren created a masterful five tier cake with fresh flowers covering the base and mid tiers. “Carly Creative Co had the amazing idea to do a watercolor envelope liner for the invitations, so when we sat down to talk about the cake with Fancy Cakes my original thought was to just do white and put the flowers around a few tiers, until Haylie told me that Lauren is so talented that she can literally hand paint the watercolor onto the cake- I was sold immediately!”
At the end of the night, Dylan and Kyndall took off in style in her grandfather’s vintage 1929 Packard. Congratulations to the recently wed Mr. and Mrs. Hoover!
