On May 21st, out on the lawn of the Four Seasons in Downtown Austin, Katie and Curt became husband and wife. It was only fitting that the Texas Longhorn fans were married in the city that inspired many of the events they hosted. The ceremony took place under oak trees overlooking Lady Bird Lake. The oaks were draped with a variety of vibrant florals. Light pinks, fuschia and punches of orange beautifully decorated the trees asymmetrically at the altar.
The wedding was planned by the amazing Sarah Morris with Todd Events. She perfectly captured Katie’s and Curt’s vision from the longhorn chic rehearsal dinner to the elegant pinks and greens of their reception. Entering the ballroom was a green and white tile dancefloor with Katie and Curt’s initials. Their monogram was also incorporated into the design of their cake. Crisp white with a variety of flowers on each tier.
Sofas backed into one another with flowers blossoming out in between. In a unique take on a photobooth, Todd Events created a wall of hanging flowers for guests to snap a picture in.
Throughout the night, Katie showed off a number of looks. She changed from her ceremony dress into her first party dress after cake cutting. The second outfit was an illusion maxi dress by Nardos covered in petals, with an off-the-shoulder, large satin bow on one side. It was perfect for festivities later in the evening so Katie could easily dance. In the final moments of their reception, she changed again into a strapless mini dress covered in feathers.
It was such a memorable weekend celebrating Katie and Curt in Austin. We are so glad we got to be a part of your special day. Cheers to you, Mr. and Mrs. Buckley!
