Kate Padgitt is known for her classic and preppy style from her blog, Lonestar Southern, so there was much anticipation surrounding her bridal gown when she wed on June 1, 2019. Her dress—pure and timeless—represented her aesthetic perfectly. A timeless bateau neckline (mirroring the style of Audrey Hepburn) in the front, and a big beautiful bow led to a sweeping train in the back. The sprawling train flowing down the chapel steps resonates deeply with so many Southern brides.
Growing up, Kate sat in the pews of Park Cities Baptist Church praying for the moment she could walk the aisle to her future husband. Kate and Andrew decided to marry their this summer so the chapel was the perfect venue for Kate’s bridal portraits. We love the preparation and sentiment bridal portraits provide for brides ahead of actual wedding day, and you could see the joy and anticipation the experience brought Kate in her portraits. She was a truly beautiful bride!
