Haylie and Jack’s love story began years before they started dating. Both attended TCU and moved in the same social circles, but it wasn’t until a mutual friend’s lake house party that sparks flew. “Jack was being goofy and stealing all the attention,” Haylie recalls. A week later, they went on their first date, and the rest is history.
The proposal was equally charming. Jack, with the help of photographer Matt, orchestrated a surprise proposal at his family’s ranch during a staged photo shoot. “Jack told me how much he loved me, and I had not realized he was about to propose,” Haylie laughs.
Haylie, a seasoned wedding planner, knew she wanted her wedding to be bright and happy. “I didn’t want just blue or white and green; I wanted it to be colorful but not overwhelming,” she says. She decided on citrus tones—pink, green, orange, and yellow—as the main colors, creating a vibrant and cohesive look.
Haylie leaned on trusted vendors with much of the décor. “I told Jacob and Leah with Jackson Durham my colors and let them run with it,” she explains. The result was a beautiful surprise on her wedding day, perfectly capturing her vision.
The morning of the wedding was a mix of excitement and calm. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and family at her parents’ house, Haylie felt at ease. “Being at home with everyone made the morning perfect,” she says. The rain did little to dampen spirits, as everyone rallied around Haylie to ensure the day was special.
As a wedding planner, Haylie found herself in a unique position planning her own wedding. “I wear many hats for my brides—therapist, fixer, security detail,” she says. Experiencing the bride’s side of things was eye-opening. “My mom and Jack handled everything I usually handle for my brides, and they did it well,” she reflects.
The ceremony, initially planned for Jack’s family ranch, had to be moved indoors due to rain. “I woke up to a 100% chance of rain and knew we needed to go with the rain plan,” Haylie says. The new venue, her parents’ house, provided an intimate and personal setting. “Seeing all my family and friends at my parents’ house and walking down the stairs to get married was the most intimate, amazing moment,” she shares. Despite the weather, the ceremony was filled with love and emotion. “Seeing Jack cry was my favorite moment,” Haylie says. Jack, known for his sensitivity and sweetness.
Following the ceremony, guests joined in on the fun for the Kefflers’ tented reception. One of the standout elements of the reception was the vibrant décor. Jackson Durham transformed the space with colorful floral arrangements and unique touches, including a chandelier adorned with flowers and antlers. “They made everything look so happy and beautiful,” Haylie says. For Haylie, a highlight of the evening was getting on stage with Professor D singing ‘Mr. Brightside’. The dance floor was filled with energy and laughter as friends and family celebrated the couple’s love.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Keffler!!! What an honor it was to capture such dear friends’ wedding day. It was absolutely perfect in every way!
