Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, embodies a regal sophistication that we find irresistible. Her refined, yet relatable style captures hearts worldwide. Brides admire Kate’s ability to effortlessly transition from casual chic to dazzling couture, often incorporating timeless silhouettes and exquisite lace details.
My Wedding Wardrobe’s Katie Hubbard curated three looks inspired by Kate’s iconic outfits for the red carpet and events, which we hope you will use as inspiration for your bridal ensembles.
The first look is inspired by Kate’s 2019 BAFTA Film Awards appearance. A beautiful flowing white one-shoulder gown is perfect for a daytime bridal luncheon or an upscale look for a rehearsal dinner. The reimagined look features a chiffon one-shoulder midi gown by Mac Duggal, accessorized with jewelry from Fantasia by DeSerio and a handbag by The Bella Rosa Collection.
The second look is reminiscent of Kate’s outfit during the Diamond Jubilee tour of Singapore in September 2012. Our interpretation of the look is an elegant cream bouclé bodice chiffon midi dress by Self-Portrait.
Lastly, the third look is a nod to the jaw-dropping gold gown Kate wore at the James Bond Premiere in 2021. This dress was an unexpected statement of sophistication, reimagined as a reception dress by Jenny Packham.
With that, we wrap our series on the lovely icon ladies that continue to inspire fashion over time. We hope you enjoyed browsing these re-interpretations! A huge thank you to the hard work of Katie Hubbard on curating each look!
