Krystal Schlegel and Luke Davis’ wedding day began and ended in utter elegance. The bride’s family home, with ornate architecture and manicured gardens, served as the idyllic backdrop for the entire day as well as inspiration for the wedding design. Krystal, with her father, walked out the home’s grand front doors and into the ceremony tent for a royal entrance. The couple chose not to have a first look so the bride’s processional was truly an emotional moment.
The ceremony aisle was lined with floral chandelier pendants and ended at a cathedral-sized floral wall where Krystal and Luke would take their vows. The ceremony felt heavenly—from the string quartet to the long floral strings raining down from the draped tent to the 400 friends and family surrounding the beautiful couple as they said ‘I do’. After an iconic first kiss, Luke and Krystal bursted with joy and celebrated back down the aisle as husband and wife.
The couple quickly went out onto the home’s balcony to soak in the special scene. Meanwhile, guests mixed and mingled at the home’s entrance as Krystal and Luke waved royally from atop. Then, the trumpets called for dinner. Guests were led into a separate tent built over the pool for dinner and dancing. The cake even stood in the gazebo from the actual house grounds pulling in the whimsical garden aesthetic. The dinner tables were set with custom monogrammed linens, white peonies, touches of cherry blossom, and magical candlelight.
For example, the bride noted on her blog, “We wanted the center pieces low so that guests could see each other across the table.” There were even real butterflies as you walked into the tent—a special suggestion from the wedding designer, Todd Events.
After a seated dinner, the remainder of the evening was spent on the white dance floor and every guest was out of their seat. The merriment ended with a gold confetti blast from the stage for an epic finale. Guests went to line the driveway with sparklers and Krystal and Luke exited the home, and a stunning and sophisticated wedding celebration, and left for their Bora Bora honeymoon.
