The American Cathedral, a historic gem nestled in the heart of Paris, provided an elegant backdrop for Maggie and Mack’s wedding weekend kickoff. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the couple, surrounded by their closest friends and family, rehearsed the Abbots’ impending nuptials. The cathedral’s timeless architecture added an air of sophistication to the proceedings, foreshadowing the glamor and romance that would unfold over the next few days. The American Cathedral holds a special place in Maggie’s heart, being that she attended services there from 2001 to 2003 while living in Paris with her parents. “My godparents were married in the Cathedral and also became my godparents there in 2002. My late father has a memorial bench in the cloister garden – Paris was also his favorite city, and he enjoyed attending organ concerts in the many Cathedrals of Paris. We have always considered the American Cathedral a very special place,” Maggie shared.
Following the rehearsal, Maggie and Mack set off down the Seine for an intimate rehearsal dinner. A private boat, gently gliding along the river, served as the venue for this unforgettable soirée. As the sun dipped below the Parisian skyline, Maggie and Mack elevated the weekend’s opulence with a rehearsal dinner that transcended expectations. Against the illuminated backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, guests were treated to cocktails on the top deck as live music played in the background. The city lights reflected off the Seine, casting a soft glow upon the celebration.
As the night unfolded, toasts were raised, expressing heartfelt sentiments for the couple. Friends and family shared stories, laughter, and warm wishes for Mr. and Mrs. Abbot.
Back on land, guests gathered for a nightcap before the evening came to a close and partygoers prepared for the following day’s welcome party. We can’t wait to share more from Maggie & Mack’s wedding day on the blog tomorrow!
