Before leaving Carlsbad, California, Brandtley knelt on one knee and asked for Margaret’s hand in marriage as the sun set over the beach. The proposal fulfilled Margaret’s dreams entirely. “It was absolutely perfect,” Margaret exclaimed. Carlsbad holds special sentimental value for her, as she had spent countless vacations there with her family. After he proposed, much to Margaret’s excitement, she looked up to see both their families cheering from a balcony.
Soon after, their wedding planning journey began. Together, they decided that their wedding would be held in Dallas and wanted a venue that felt like home while allowing them to add their own creative touch. “We chose Arlington Hall because it’s in the heart of the city we know and love. By bringing in beautiful flowers, lighting, and personal features, we could make it our own,” Margaret explained.
Margaret envisioned a classic wedding with a vibrant flair. They opted for timeless white, blue, and green flowers but added pops of springtime hues like hot pinks and corals to enhance the atmosphere with happiness and joy. Incorporating elements such as blue and white ginger jars and a sage green bar, Margaret wanted every detail to speak for itself.
Margaret holds two moments from her wedding day especially close: firstly, walking down the aisle. “Seeing Brandtley standing there with all of his best friends and my best friends, with my dad at my side…I mean, I tear up thinking about it. Nothing can prepare you for that moment, it felt like the start of our whole lives!” Secondly, the reception’s final song, “Friends in Low Places,” provided a heartfelt moment for the Wilsons to stand back and to take in the overwhelming support of friends and family who celebrated with them on their special day.
As the night came to an end, they enjoyed a five-tiered cake cascading with petals and a hand-rolled cigar bar. Margaret changed into a green sequin midi dress paired with silver pointed heels for their final dance, and then they exited under a petal toss. “It truly was the best night of my life,” exclaimed Margaret.
Congratulations to Margaret & Brandtley Wilson! We loved being able to celebrate & capture your love!
