Marco Island can be found on the Western tip of Florida just before Everglade National Forest. Quiet and quaint, the island bounds in natural beauty and textures. The same can be said for Molly Cikacz and Patrick Day’s Marco Island wedding! The couple allowed the setting to inspire their wedding aesthetic by focusing on materials, floral, and colors natural to the area. Their ceremony was held on the beach with views of the ocean as the couple took their vows to another. An woven aisle lined with palm fronds and lanterns paved the way for the bride who met her groom at a floral teepee backed by the Gulf. Molly wore a strapless Reem Acra bridal gown made of crystal-embroidered tulle which blew delicately as she and Patrick became Mr. and Mrs. Day!
After the beachside ceremony, the guests enjoyed an oceanside cocktail hour before heading into the JW Marriott ballroom for the reception. The reception was initially set to be outside, but Mother Nature had a different plan. Anna of Anna Lucia Eventsdesigned and planned the wedding day and brought the outdoors inside with such grace. Woven baskets full of greenery hung upside down over long wooden tables. At each place setting, bud vases full of orchids, palm fronds, and other white floral were set amongst wicker lanterns and textured linens creating a feast for the eyes. The plates and flatware had gold accents and sleek lines juxtaposing the natural textures surrounding each setting. Pulling the entire design together, the band performed in front of a neutral wall decorated with a large assortment of woven baskets.
Molly and Patrick entered the reception and had their first dance to the song, “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” before sitting down for toasts and dinner. Before the newlyweds spent the rest of the evening on the dance floor, John was able to spend a quiet moment with the couple on the balcony at sunset resulting in portraits perfectly capturing the day’s mood. The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with their closest friends and family and didn’t end at the reception! Instead of a grand exit, Molly and Patrick invited their guests to an arcade-themed after party to close the evening.
We are thrilled to be a part of Molly and Patrick’s story, and wish the couple a happy first anniversary!
