We love to see a bride get creative with color and pattern for the design of her wedding, and that’s exactly what Meg did! Meg Brawner and Eric Hobby were married on March 11th at Highland Park United Methodist Church.
For her wedding day, Meg wore a gorgeous Mira Zwillinger gown with floral appliques. She paired her look with a long trailing veil. Bridesmaids wore a variety of spring hue dresses, with soft green and pops of yellow and pink.
Meg’s gorgeous, colorful invitation suite was created by Ellis Hill and Catherine Cartie Calligraphy inspired decor on their wedding day. The same design used for the envelope liner was on Meg and Eric’s custom dance floor. Meg shared that she “wanted a lot of spring florals and color around the dance floor! That’s where I knew Eric and I would be spending all of our time at the wedding.” Event coordination for the weekend was done by the amazing Kirstin Rose Events, who helped Meg bring her vision of color and fun to life!
Following the ceremony held at HPUMC, the reception was held at Brook Hollow Golf Club. Strands of flowers hung from the chandelier. The same floral appliques from Meg’s dress were seen hanging from the ceiling and covering the tiers of the cake. Midway through the reception, Meg changed into her party dress that she found at Neiman Marcus Bridal. “I got it altered to be a short, party dress. Eric’s wedding gift to me was the Miron Crosby boots that I wore. They had a special note from him branded onto leather on the inside of the boot.” The dance floor was filled the entire evening, with Meg and Eric being the stars of the show. Eric dipped her and spun her around in their private last dance.
