William and Natalie first met as incoming freshmen at TCU frog camp in Colorado. “We had so much fun together rock climbing, white water rafting, and zip lining. We both had a crush on eachother and have been together ever since!” Natalie shared.
After 5 years of dating, William proposed to Natalie at the Trinity River in Fort Worth, Texas. “We would always go to the Trinity to go on walks together so it was a special place for us. We were on a walk with our dog Lady and he was telling me how much he loved me for about 15 minutes. I just kept thinking wow he is being super sweet today! Then we got to a lookout point and he asked me to marry him! I burst into tears and said yes!”
Months of wedding planning led to Natalie and William’s wedding day on August 19th, 2023. To start her wedding morning, Natalie hosted her bridesmaids at her parents house before it was time to walk down the aisle. “It was so special to be able to get ready in the home I grew up in. It helped me feel super calm and at ease. I loved being able to have the comfort of home on my wedding day!” Natalie spent quality time with her parents and sister before it was time to get married!
The anticipation and excitement set in as guests gathered at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Arm-in-arm with her father, Natalie walked down the aisle to William, grinning from ear-to-ear at the altar. A highlight of the ceremony for Natalie was exchanging vows. “ It felt like time stopped and it was just us two and God. I am so grateful to have been so present and feel the weight of every word we promised to each other! We chose to stick to the traditional wedding vows and I feel those words were truly perfect.” After exchanging rings and promises, Natalie and William were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Wilson! The newlyweds joyfully recessed down the aisle hand-in-hand, ready to celebrate!
Post-ceremony, the party started at Arlington Hall. Growing up in Dallas, Natalie was drawn to Arlington Hall as a potential venue. When she moved to Uptown, she and William would go on walks to Arlington Hall with their dog Lady, so it was a meaningful spot for the two of them. “When we toured AH as a potential venue we loved that it had a classy southern charm to it, as well as lots of privacy! We loved that we could have a tent, and enjoy the ballroom! There were so many pros to AH and we loved that we had the whole building, the beauty of the park and a very central location in Dallas! There was nowhere else that had our hearts like AH!”
On the lawn of Arlington Hall, a gorgeous transparent tent was set for the Wilson’s reception. Inside, flowers filled every corner, perfectly fitting Natalie’s vision for a summer-y, traditional wedding with elements of garden inspiration. The pillars were wrapped in garlands of greenery intertwined with peach toned roses and hydrangeas. Between the pillars stood Natalie’s five tier wedding cake featuring traditional piping. Light pink floral arrangements lined the table, and green glassware was set at each place setting. Suspended from the top of the tent was an incredible floral centerpiece surrounding the chandelier.
Natalie and William’s loved ones filtered in from cocktail hour and found their seats for dinner and toasts. Family members shared heartfelt stories of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson as the crowd cheered on in admiration. After speeches, guests flooded the dance floor. A true highlight of the evening for Natalie was dancing with all of her people around. “We had the best time just being fully present and dancing together surrounded by our best friends and family from all stages of life!”
All good things must come to an end, and the party began to wind down as Natalie and William shared a private last dance. They soaked up that final moment before exiting Arlington Hall in a shower of rose petals from their guests. As they drove away in their vintage getaway car, sparklers filled the night sky signaling the ending to a fantastic night. Congratulations to Natalie and William! We are thrilled to have been a part of your beautiful wedding!
