The Matthews’ wedding weekend commenced with their first celebration in the gardens of the Mont La Salle Chapel, where they exchanged vows the following day. The chapel is nestled along a scenic mountain road with views of the Napa hillside’s beautiful rose gardens. The rehearsal dinner took place amidst the same setting, under the perfect Napa weather. Molly’s main request for the evening was for her friends and family to try all of Molly and Kyle’s favorite wines. “We highlighted Napa wineries where we have celebrated special occasions and wines that we have enjoyed at different milestones in our relationship,” Molly explained. The Matthews have developed a deep passion for wine over the years due to their close proximity to the wine country from San Francisco.
Molly had the privilege of reconstructing and wearing her mother’s wedding dress to her rehearsal dinner. The custom-made pale pink gown held sentimental value for Molly, who was determined to incorporate it into her wedding weekend. “I took some of the skirt fabric and created a cuff along the top to replace the former sweetheart neckline,” Molly shared. She also shortened the dress and made it sleeveless, transforming it into her “something old” piece for the wedding weekend.
Reflecting on the start to her wedding celebration, Molly expressed, “We laughed, prayed, toasted, and all enjoyed one another’s company, and it was an absolutely picture perfect kickoff to our wedding weekend!”
