SMU Dedman School of Law brought Rachel Saunders and Hank Howard together and led them to their walk down the aisle on February 20, 2021 at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Falling on the Saturday after the Texas snow storm, it was the greatest celebration gathering the bride and groom’s friends and family.
The bride stunned in a Monique Lhuillier gown crafted from fine silk and lace. The A-line silhouette was designed with Chantilly and Alençon lace and paired with custom off the shoulder, long lace sleeves. As she ascended the aisle to her groom, there was a collective gasp of awe for the beaming bride.
After an exchange of vows and a kiss to seal “I do”, the newlyweds made their way to the Hotel Crescent Court along with their guests. As they took to the dance floor they swayed under the hanging wisteria from Something Pretty Floral. Oh, What a World by Kacey Musgraves played serenely in the background as Rachel and Hank soaked in those first beautiful moments as husband and wife. Not too soon after, the party really started and everyone was on their feet dancing. As the night came to an end, the couple exited through their loved ones who were lined up to wish them a happy honeymoon as the couple prepared to jet off to the Bahamas!
