While Paige and William briefly considered a destination wedding, they opted instead to host their nuptials locally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That way, all of their beloved family members, including elderly family, could attend.
As it turns out, the duo didn’t need to sail across the sea to find the old-world magic they were looking for. The ceremony space at Philbrook Museum was reminiscent of a European garden, both traditional and surreal. “I really wanted it to be a balance between a couple of different elements, and that is very much influenced by my travels and how I view the world now,” Paige shares.
Paige attended the University of Tulsa and minored in Art History, simply because she loved the classes. She developed a soft spot for the Philbrook, explaining that the architecture makes it feel like a destination far outside a college town.
With the help of Anthousai Florals, a luscious greenery arch ushered William, the wedding party, and Paige herself down the grassy aisle to stand under a towering, semicircle-shaped window. The ceremony was nothing short of a fairy tale—and it’s what Paige remembers best from the blur of the wedding day.
Paige stunned in an A-line Reem Acra ball gown. She describes wanting to look like she was strolling down the pathway of a garden while maintaining her signature sleek style. During her visit to the gown shop, Paige even met Reem, who styled and accessorized her. It was the first of several outfit changes throughout the evening!
There are so many intricate and thoughtful details from both the ceremony and reception (well actually, everything from getting ready to first look, pre-ceremony portraits, the ceremony itself, sunset portraits, the cocktail hour, al fresco dinner, dancing, and after party) … so clearly it was all too good for just one post. We can’t wait to share their beautiful dinner, reception tent, and after party tomorrow!
