On April 23rd, 2022, Blair and Joe tied the knot at Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church in Houston Texas. For her ceremony, Blair wore an elegant Carolina Herrera dress, showcasing a strapless neckline and ball gown style skirt. Buttons trailed down the back of her gown all the way to the end of her train. The classic simplicity of her dress highlighted her natural beauty.
Loved ones gathered at Saint Luke’s to watch Blair and Joe be pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Shirley. After exchanging vows and sharing their first kiss as newlyweds, it was off to River Oaks Country Club for dinner and dancing.
The interior of River Oaks was beautifully decorated with periwinkle, blues, a variety of greens and white. Wedding planner Chelsea Reed did a fantastic job making thoughtful choices on details throughout the reception space. Exquisite flower arrangements of roses, ferns, bluebells and hydrangeas were done by Maxit Flower Design. The cake, created by Susie’s Cakes, incorporated flowers similar to those of the arrangements on each of the three tiers. Blooming Gallery provided all of the blue linens, white wicker chairs and stunning bar that brought the space together. The bar, a show stopping element, was wrapped in greenery and stood at the center of the reception space. The front panels were designed with floral print. This small detail is such a cute addition. Two signature cocktails were offered to guests, a lavender lemon drop martini for her and a spicy margarita with a tajin rim for him. I’ll take one of both please! The cake was cut and the party commenced. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley hit the dance floor with cowboy hats and light up tambourines. The band was in full force and guests partied on until it was time for a private last dance.
Great company and the sweetest couple made for a spectacular weekend celebrating the Shirley’s in Houston!
