On a practically perfect West Texas morning, our team drove from quaint Hico, Texas to the Hutchison family ranch beginning an elegant yet rustic wedding day for Elizabeth Hutchison and Chase Anderson. This was the first wedding to occur on the ranch and, in our opinion, shouldn’t be the last!
Elizabeth walked out the steps of the ranch house, straight onto the lawn just outside, and down the aisle to a beaming groom. What we loved about their ceremony: it wasn’t fussy so the focus lay entirely on the task at hand. As the sun began to lower, the groom kissed the bride and post-ceremony portraits began in dreamy West Texas golden hour. The newlyweds, literally, glowed. Wedding guests headed to cocktail hour where they were surprised with beer donkeys offering something chilled (one of two fun surprises the bride had planned!)
Just as the sun hid behind the horizon, the groom swept the bride off of her and feet and they headed into the reception tent. The remainder of the evening was filled with loads of dancing and celebrations. Elizabeth made a quick wardrobe change mid-reception so she could really dance and celebrate the occasion. Along with the swinging dress, she tossed on boots as did her husband—truly fitting the day’s theme. That second surprise we mentioned: a HELICOPTER send-off! As the guests made their way to the field, Elizabeth and Chase walked the sparkler aisle, hopped in a black helicopter, and off they went to forever.
