Taylor and Conner’s paths first crossed when they swiped right on Bumble in May of 2021.”We met the good ol’ fashioned way, on Bumble of course! We “matched” Mother’s Day weekend 2021. Weeks after talking we decided to go on our first date at HG Supply Co. rooftop on Lower Greenville in Dallas. The first date couldn’t have gone better — lasting 5+ hours chatting away until the server nicely told us it was the last call and they would be closing soon. We immediately texted each other after the date saying how much fun we had and we need to schedule the next date! Conner chose the second date to be at… HG Supply Co. Rooftop! He loved it so much the first time he wanted to go back again. 🙂 Again, we had the best time and fast forward to June 17th 2021, Conner asked me to be his girlfriend! YAY! We have been inseparable since – with many fun life experiences of traveling, moving in together and to our engagement.”
On March 19th 2022, Conner told Taylor they were joining friends at the Dallas Arboretum for an Elton John cover band concert. “He grabbed a map when we walked in and I pointed out that the concert area was over to the left and he said he wanted to walk around first. I could tell at that point something was up, he started to seem nervous and his hands were shaking. We walked to where the trees arch on the walk way and then he just stopped and told me how much he loved me (voice all shaky) and got on one knee. I of course said “yes” and was jumping up and down (I do that when I’m excited) haha!” After the proposal, Taylor and Conner joined their families and friends for a surprise party that Conner coordinated with the help of her loved ones.
Taylor and Conner tied the knot at Highland Park United Methodist Church on March 25th, 2023. The reception followed at the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas. “We wanted to choose somewhere Dallas-y but also modern and classic. The Joule worked out so well for us. We wanted to make sure our size wedding could fit comfortably while still serving great food and drinks and overall having great service. We loved having our cocktail hour on the rooftop because the weather was gorgeous and the decorations were PERFECT.” Taylor worked with planner Kristin Butler with Fabulous Fete to execute her vision. “My favorite color is blue and I discussed with our planner Kristin at Fabulous Fete and our florist/event rentals Lucy at Bella Flora that we liked, clean, modern but classic. I trusted them with their ideas and we couldn’t have been more pleased with how it all turned out!”
Taylor’s favorite moment from the reception was her and Conner’s first dance to “Diamond in My Pocket” by Cody Johnson. Another special memory was their private last dance. “I loved our private dance when we danced to “After All” by Elton John, which we first heard while getting ready when I thought we were going to an Elton John coverband.”
It was a fantastic weekend celebrating the Scott’s and we are so thrilled to have been a part of it! Congratulations to the recently wed Mr. and Mrs. Scott!!
