A reception that began with an elegant dance, and ended with a guitar solo by the groom himself… Makenna and Jordan’s wedding day had as much charisma as it did charm.
With a high neck, and long sleeves made of a delicate lace, Makenna’s Vera Wang dress was as simply elegant as they come. Her columned, all-lace bodice studded with pearls stood out among the stately details of both Perkins chapel and Arlington Hall alike. She exuded style with ease, and could not have been a more picture perfect image of a Winter bride.
Arlington Hall was decadently dressed in blooms of white and robust magnolia leaves to boot. A black and white checkered dance floor was the focal point of the stately ballroom, and it remained packed all night long, courtesy of the ever talented Big Swing & The Ballroom Blasters from Georgia.
Makenna snuck away during the reception to change into a fit-and-flare mini dress, complete with a perfectly poised bow detail on the back. Just a few accessorization tweaks later, and she was ready to dance all night.
In the spirit of the holidays, a cheeky mistletoe-on-a-stick made its rounds through the ballroom, making for quite the rambunctious reception shenanigans. Before the night was over, the groom himself took the stage to perform “Closing Time” by Semisonic. An avid guitarist (with the groom’s cake to prove it!), he closed the night out in the spotlight, with his bride by his side. Loved ones flooded the dancefloor, and the excitement didn’t fade in the slightest as the newlywed Redds exited for the evening.
