Spanish moss cloaked the live oak trees overhead in Savannah, Georgia on Meaghan and Clay’s wedding day. Meaghan spent the morning getting ready at her parent’s home on the bluff with her bridesmaids, while Clay and his groomsmen hung out just next door. For her wedding, Meaghan wore a sleek strapless gown by Pronovias. After finishing touches, Meaghan prepared to make her way to the cathedral. Before leaving, she snuck in a few cuddles with her dog Tucker. “I made Tucker practice holding the rings on his nose so he wouldn’t try to eat them and he sat perfectly and held them on his nose for photos!”
Their decision to get married at the Savannah Yacht Club stemmed from their love of being on the water. The venue is significant to Meaghan and Clay’s relationship because it is also where they got engaged. “We took a cruise on the boat from his parents’ dock to the yacht club where he proposed. Clay coordinated for all of our friends and family to be waiting there afterwards for a party!”
Following the ceremony, family and friends met the newlyweds at the Yacht Club for celebratory fireworks on the dock. After an impressive show, party goers gathered in the ballroom for dinner, drinks and dancing. The interior was decorated in grand palm leaves and blue hydrangeas. White drapery elegantly hung above the room and the chandeliers were wrapped in greenery.
Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Moore! We had so much fun in Savannah with you!
