Cara Martin and Emory Allen met while living in Colorado, and even though they moved to Dallas before getting engaged, they get out into nature as often as possible. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, a Colorado destination wedding became the obvious choice for their ‘I dos’. The couple ensured to include many of their passions into their wedding weekend activities and details. Cara also carried a beautiful autumn-toned bouquet filled with dahlias, thistle, and feathers.
On October 6, 2019, ‘Colorful Colorado’ gifted Cara and Emory with glowing aspen trees as a backdrop to their outdoor ceremony held at Camp Hale in Vail, Colorado. Cara (wearing a Romona Keveza long-sleeved gown and Chanel fur booties) crossed a small bridge that led to an island where wedding guests and her groom waited for vows. After Cara and Emory’s first kiss as husband and wife, the reception commenced back across the bridge in a white tent surrounded by mountain activity—fly fishing, archery, and corn hole.
Birch topped with fall floral topped round tables throughout the tent matching the weekend’s autumnal palette. At each place setting lay copper chargers filled in it’s center with varied hunting scene motifs to showcase the couples love of the outdoors. As the sun set across the Rockies, the party amped up and wedding guests sipped on Ollie’s Ol’ Fashioned (named after Cara’s Vizsla) and Emory’s Mountain Mule. Cara and Emory escaped into the mountains on a foliage-adorned mule accompanied through a sparkler-lined exit by their guests. Our photography team left fulfilled from a joyous celebration, wonderfully planned by Caroline Events.
