The color experts at Pantone announced yesterday the 2020 Color of the Year is ‘Classic Blue’. “It’s a reassuring blue, full of calm and confidence. It builds connection,” Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, told TIME. If ‘Classic Blue’ builds connection, then we understand why we continue to see it throughout wedding day decor. Aside from being a timeless tone, blue has always been known for it’s serenity. In a season of busyness and occasional chaos, blue can bring sophistication and peace. Whether the color is incorporated into your ‘something blue’ or it’s all over chinoiserie vessels decking the ballroom, there are countless beautiful ways to utilize this staple hue. Here are a few of our favorite ‘Classic Blue’ uses through the years!
