Alexis and Miles set out to create a wedding weekend that felt romantic, elegant, and deeply personal. Surrounded by family and friends in Dallas, their celebration reflected their relationship through thoughtful details, timeless style, and a focus on creating a memorable experience for their guests.
Working closely with her mom and planner, the design came together around a classic black-and-white palette with abundant candles and florals, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere perfect for a November wedding. “I was really excited to see everything come together,” Alexis said. “Our vision was romantic and elegant with lots of candles and flowers.”
Wedding morning started early for Alexis and her bridesmaids, who spent the morning together getting ready and enjoying the anticipation of the day ahead. “I just wanted a moment where we could breathe together,” she said. “Once we saw each other, I felt completely calm.”
That quiet moment made the ceremony even more meaningful. As the doors opened and Alexis walked down the aisle, everything else seemed to fade away.“I was just focused on Miles,” she said. “The whole ceremony felt so special and personal.”
Their reception quickly turned into a lively celebration as guests filled the dance floor. Alexis and Miles shared their first dance to “You” by Dan + Shay, a song Miles chose after sharing the lyrics with Alexis. While they briefly considered choreographing the dance, they ultimately kept things simple.
Later in the evening, Alexis shared a dance with her father to “Stand By Me,” which quickly turned into a spontaneous and joyful moment as the two decided to simply have fun and dance together.
Looking back, Alexis’s biggest advice for couples planning their own weddings is simple: take your time. “Don’t rush the process,” she said. “And on your wedding day, slow down and soak in every moment. It goes by so fast.”
