Lyndsay and Cody’s Palmetto Bluff wedding was a dreamy celebration filled with Southern charm, blue and white accents, and heartfelt personal touches. From a romantic chapel ceremony, to a lively reception complete with gorgeous florals, many a tribute to their golden retrievers, and an unforgettable after-party, this coastal Carolina wedding was the perfect mix of elegance, joy, and timeless style.
After years of planning, and even weathering hurricanes and a fire during their engagement, the couple finally gathered their loved ones for a celebration filled with joy and gratitude. From resilience to romance, the chapel ceremony highlighted the love they share, while thoughtful details like grandma’s rosary wrapped around Lyndsay’s bouquet made the day deeply meaningful. Lyndsay looked breathtaking in her custom Monique Lhuillier gown, a delicate high-neck lace design reminiscent of her grandmother’s wedding dress, complete with a cathedral-length veil. Not even Luna and Kauai, the nearly identical English cream “flower girls”, could contain their excitement as they bolted down the aisle in flower adorned collars, with open mouth smiles and their precious puppy dog eyes. Post ceremony portraits with Mr. Drake’s restored 1929 model car, parked in front of the chapel, under the Spanish moss, played the perfect backdrop to capture the first moments shared as husband and wife.
The reception boasted the blue and white palette, lush florals, chandeliers over the custom dance floor, and ice luges with Luna and Kauai artfully etched in ice all together under the tent near the Carolina Low-country. After months of practice, Lyndsay and Cody’s first dance to Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life” set the tone for the fun that would shortly follow. Later in the evening, Lyndsay changed into a fun, flirty after-party dress paired with cowboy hats, which paired perfectly for a night of dancing and celebration. Guests enjoyed late-night treats complete with mini milkshakes and chicken biscuits as they transitioned with a sparkler exit to the afterparty.
From the quiet, sentimental moments to the grandest celebrations, Lyndsay and Cody’s wedding at Palmetto Bluff was a true reflection of their journey together: steadfast, joyful, and full of love. As the evening came to a close, it was clear their wedding was not only the beginning of a beautiful marriage, but also a memory that will forever be cherished by all who were there to witness it.
