Sadie and Sam’s wedding day was a reflection of everything they value most: faith, family, and timeless intention. Thoughtfully planned and deeply personal, their celebration felt classic without being stiff and meaningful without being overdone: every detail chosen with purpose, and every moment centered on what truly mattered to them.
When it came time to dress shop, Sadie brought along her entire immediate family: mom, dad, and twin sister. “We’re a small family, but we’re incredibly close,” Sadie shared. “I couldn’t imagine doing it without my dad there too.”
The dress Sadie chose, a classic ball gown with a delicate top, ended up being the one that brought her mom to tears. It reminded her of Sadie as a little girl in her Ariel costume, a full-circle moment that made the choice undeniable. By pure chance (or fate), the gown was only available that day during a trunk show, and the designer himself helped customize the straps. It was, without question, meant to be.
One especially meaningful detail? Their ceremony location. Early in their relationship, Sadie and Sam went “church shopping” together and found St. John the Divine. Long before they were engaged, they both felt it would someday be where they’d marry. When that vision became reality, the ceremony felt like the truest reflection of their story.
Faith wasn’t just present, it was foundational. “We wanted God to be honored in every detail,” Sadie shared. And it showed. A visiting priest later told the family it was one of the most faith-centered weddings he had witnessed in 17 years of ministry.
As Sadie walked down the aisle, Sam cried, just as she knew he would. Their ceremony was filled with joy, tears, and reverence, culminating in a moment that radiated pure happiness. Guests could feel it, and the images captured it beautifully.
From blue-and-white ginger jars to hydrangea-lined seating charts, Sadie’s love for antiques and timeless design came through in every detail. Their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley honored Sam’s late grandparents and their shared love for classic music.
The reception carried on the warmth of the day, complete with heartfelt speeches, a packed cigar bar inspired by Sadie’s dad, and a dance floor that stayed full all night. One detail guests especially loved, whether they realized it or not, was the food. Sadie was intentional about every ingredient, requesting that the entire menu be cooked exclusively with beef tallow and olive oil, making the reception completely seed-oil free. Not only did it align with her values, but it also resulted in some of the best wedding food the family had ever experienced.
Their exit, surrounded by sparklers, was bittersweet—but perfectly fitting. “Sam is my home,” Sadie said. “Once it was just us, everything felt calm again.” Classic, intentional, and full of heart, Sadie and Sam’s wedding day was a true reflection of who they are and what they value most. A celebration rooted in faith, family, and timeless love.
