A Sunny Day in Aspen with Mr. and Mrs. Mayers

It was a sunny day in Aspen, Colorado when Carole Anne and Keaton said “I do”. Carole Anne’s family ranch was the perfect setting for this modern romance in the mountains.

In hopes of highlighting God’s handiwork in their wedding, they constructed a church-like ceremony space without walls. Guests had panoramic views of the mountains and Aspen trees from their pews, as well as the floral-hemmed altar at the front of it all. In an effective effort to combine the natural and the man-made, the exposed wood of the chapel structure and sprawling spirit of the florals beautifully melded the two. In a setting with so much innate beauty, Carole Anne and Keaton were certain to complement everything naturally occurring, and that was exactly what was accomplished. Every bloom and chair was intentionally placed, and there was not a bad seat in the house. 

Carole Anne’s Caroline Castigliano bridal gown was feminine and distinctive. With a swirling peplum and fitted bodice, her gown complemented her own natural beauty exquisitely. To complete her bridal look, Carole Anne sported Veja sneakers with a baby blue ‘V’ stepping in as her ‘something blue’ and a playful bouquet of pastel peonies and wildflowers.

The mountainside ceremony was serene, and all of God’s goodness celebrated along with loved ones as Carole Anne and Keaton were announced husband and wife. The sun shone through the altar as the couple shared their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Mayers. They recessed hand in hand, with their four-legged ring bearer, Harper leading the way. 

The sailcloth tented reception was held just a few steps from the ceremony site, and in a splendidly similar fashion. A wrap-around porch gave guests mountain-range views, and the Aspen trees that lined the interior of the tent gave an ‘outside feel’ to the indoor space. Bows and Arrows florals brought so much vibrance to an already jaw-dropping layout. Prominent pinks and spirited peach tones sat proudly atop muted, neutral table linens. The cake table and stage were encircled with rambling wildflowers springing up as if from the floor. The warm, residential quality of the furniture and florals coupled with the subtle blues of the linens and crisp green Aspen leaves came together to amass an intimate extravagance. It’s a wonder that so much character could be housed in one sailcloth tent. 

It was a night to remember atop Aspen, and we’re sure it won’t be the last for this new family! We are so excited for the life ahead of the Mayers’! All our best wishes to Carole Anne and Keaton.
