From meeting on a college ski trip in Breckenridge to honeymooning in the turquoise waters of the Maldives and Thailand, Megan and Chris have no shortage of fun in their relationship! Their loving commitment was sealed at the Saint Michael and All Angels Church, with a reception to follow at Dallas Country Club. As Megan grew up visiting both spaces, they’re very special to her.
“It is also special to have all of the people we love together,” she shares. The couple cherished walking around the ballroom, seeing every person from every walk of life in one room.
Megan’s favorite memory from the wedding is unique — their ride to the country club in the getaway club, right after the ceremony. “It was fun getting to sit for a second and take it all in,” she explains.
The theme of the evening was Midnight Garden, which was on display by the gorgeous backdrop of the venue and the use of lighting throughout the celebration. The ceremony began with light-colored tones and white florals, but the colors of the decor and florals grew deeper as the night went on.
“It’s so fun because you do all the planning, all the design, and it’s hard to know what it’ll all look like and how things will flow,” she says. “I didn’t really know what it was going to be like until being in the moment.”
Megan looked stunning in a Mira Zwillinger gown, with her mother’s veil as her “something borrowed.” Earlier, she’d gotten ready in her “something blue” pajamas at the home she grew up in. She laughs that by the end of the night, she wished she’d worn more comfortable shoes!
Megan explains that she remembers her life’s moments through photos. “That’s why the pictures [from the wedding] are so important to me,” she says. Her favorite photo is one of the duo laughing among all their loved ones as they made their final exit into happily ever after.
