Cola and Matt’s elegant Dallas wedding was a celebration filled with joy, laughter, and an unmistakable sense of togetherness. From the start, they envisioned a day that would feel classic, elegant, and timeless, while also being warm, inviting, and unforgettable for every guest.
The ceremony set a beautiful tone: timeless in style and rich with sentiment. Cola incorporated personal heirlooms into her bridal look, carrying her mother’s wedding purse and her grandmother’s handkerchief, treasured pieces passed down through generations. Her dress search led her to a Gigi gown by Mira Zwillinger, found at Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas. It was the perfect choice: romantic, sophisticated, and exactly what she hadn’t known she was looking for. Her bridesmaids, dressed in soft blue gowns, unintentionally fulfilled the “something blue” tradition, adding a lovely and cohesive touch to the day.
A driving factor in all of the wedding planning to Cola and Matt was to keep their faith as the center of the day. With a multitude of beliefs and religions present that day, they reflected on “what a special opportunity to represent Christ well to our friends and family and share the Gospel. Every step of the ceremony felt full of meaning and of His covenant. Because of that, Matt and I know that we could not have asked for more or better from our wedding.”
Thereafter, the reception was designed with the guest experience at its heart. From thoughtful layouts that encouraged conversation, to multiple spaces where guests could relax away from the main dance floor, every detail made the celebration feel effortless and welcoming. Guests enjoyed exceptional food, drinks, and music, with the dance floor staying full into the early hours, so much so that even Cola’s grandparents stayed until the bitter end. The celebration continued the next morning with a lively brunch, a testament to how much everyone wanted to savor the weekend.
The couple’s families played an integral role in the planning and the day itself. Cola’s parents, sisters, and Matt’s family worked together seamlessly, creating a warm and supportive environment throughout the process. From bridal showers and bachelorette festivities, to helping with last-minute details, their involvement brought even more meaning to the day.
Cola and Matt’s wedding was more than just a beautiful event; it was the coming together of two families who truly felt like old friends, and the start of a marriage grounded in love, joy, and shared values. Surrounded by those they cherish most, they created a celebration that was as heartfelt as it was unforgettable.
