There are some love stories that feel as though they were always meant to happen. For Morgan and Jack, that story began long before either of them could have imagined. The two first met in the same Sunday school class when they were just three years old. Years later, after reconnecting in middle school and beginning to date during their sophomore year of high school, they spent eight years growing up together before exchanging vows in one of Dallas’ most timeless settings.
Choosing Dallas for their wedding was an easy decision. While both grew up in Waco, Morgan dreamed of creating something that felt entirely new: a celebration that marked the beginning of their marriage rather than revisiting places tied to previous chapters of life. Perkins Chapel had long captured her heart with its intimate scale and timeless architecture, while The Adolphus offered the classic elegance she had admired for years. It only took one visit before she knew she had found the perfect place to celebrate.
From the very beginning, Morgan envisioned a wedding that felt cohesive from start to finish. Inspired by her love of spring and her favorite flower, tulips, she built a palette of soft blush and white that carried throughout every detail. Her invitation suite, linens, dance floor, florals, and custom details all spoke the same visual language, creating an event that felt effortlessly unified. “When you look at my bar, or you look at the dance floor, or you look at my napkins, and everything is cohesively the same.” While every detail was thoughtfully considered, two elements stood above the rest.
“My tulip ceiling and my cake were kind of my two things that I really would die on a hill for.” Working alongside Petals Couture, her vision for an overhead installation of cascading tulips came to life in a way that felt both architectural and romantic, becoming the centerpiece of the ballroom. Nearby stood an elegant multi-tiered cake adorned with floral rings and a custom gold monogram, a timeless design that perfectly complemented the surrounding blooms. Together, they created a reception space that felt equal parts refined and unforgettable.
Morgan’s wedding gown carried a story all its own. Although she initially searched Dallas boutiques, she ultimately found the dress back home in Waco at the same boutique that had dressed generations of her family for milestone moments. Surrounded by her parents, grandmother, and loved ones, saying yes to the dress became one of the most meaningful moments of the planning process.
Although many couples debate whether to share a first look, Morgan never questioned her decision.”It was just us. It was the calm before the storm,” she said. “Those ten minutes before the ceremony… I would do that again. When I saw him for the first time, I was immediately calmed.”
That sense of peace continued throughout the ceremony as Morgan walked down the aisle with her father, surrounded by family and friends who had watched their story unfold for decades. Instead of nervousness, she remembers overwhelming calm and gratitude, knowing they had finally arrived at the day they had spent years anticipating.
When the ballroom doors finally opened, months of planning suddenly became reality. As the evening continued, guests danced beneath the tulip installation, celebrated to the sounds of Intensity Band, enjoyed espresso martinis and late-night cheeseburgers and fries, a personal favorite of the couple, and watched Morgan slip into a playful second look for the dance floor. Jack’s wedding requests: an incredible band and illustrations of their beloved chocolate lab, Mae, were also incorporated into the reception details as crowd favorites.
But what made their wedding truly memorable wasn’t simply the design—it was the story behind it. A lifetime of shared memories, a celebration centered on family, and the beginning of a marriage that had, in many ways, been years in the making.
