Boxwoods and blooming azalea bushes are a few of our favorite things. Katie Brawner and Brant Williamson incorporated these elements, and so many other favorites, into their Brook Hollow wedding day three years ago! Goes to show—classics never age so we wanted to take a moment to look back on their wedding day.
Before slipping into her Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, Katie and her bridesmaids took a peak at the reception being setup in the Brook Hollow ballroom. Though the ballroom was mid-install, the bridesmaids and bride (in matching pajamas) couldn’t help but dance and sing on the white dance floor in front of the boxwood walls backing the stage. The joyous moment set a tone for the rest of the day’s celebrations!
In the the open corridors of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Katie and Brant saw each other for the first time that momentous day. They shared their overwhelming excitement together, taking portraits around the chapel where they would soon say, ‘I do’. Shortly after, their families and wedding party joined in the HPUMC courtyard for beautiful portraits where the azalea bushes had come to full bloom in bursting shades of pink.
The couple, their families, and wedding party moved inside HPUMC for the wedding ceremony. The couple shared traditional vows with each other followed by a first kiss and recessional down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs! They invited friends and family to join them at Brook Hollow Golf Club to celebrate their nuptials.
The entrance to Brook Hollow was layered with boxwood walls and personal framed portraits hanging on the boxwoods. From dating to engagement to bridals, and all the special moments in between, this was an entrance so many enjoyed walking into the reception. The boxwoods were seen again behind the stage layered with white and green floral. The wedding decor was neutral, but abundant! Natural greenery and textured blush linens dressed the tables, including the beautiful cake table where Fancy Cakes by Lauren left an ornate and classic cake for the bride and groom to cut. The bride and groom danced on stage with the party band Az Izz until it was time for the couple to depart. As a nod to the groom, Katie and Brant drove away for the evening atop a hunting rig layered with deer sheds.
We have been so blessed to know the Brawner family and be a part of Katie and Brant’s beautiful Brook Hollow wedding day! Happy Anniversary you two!
