When Haylie envisioned her bridal luncheon, she knew she wanted to incorporate one of her favorite colors: pink. “I’ve always loved pink and wanted to tie it in for the wedding,” she says. While keeping the wedding itself balanced for her husband Jack, Haylie knew one of her pre-wedding celebrations had to be a pink extravaganza. Thus, the idea for a poolside pink party was born.
The inspiration behind the theme was simple yet elegant. Haylie drew from various sources, including pink décor, linens, and flowers. “I wanted it to be super girly, and that’s where the poolside pink idea came from,” she explains. She communicated the attire to her bridal party by sending inspiration photos, encouraging them to embody the vibe of a chic pool party like a scene out of a Slim Aarons portrait. The results were impressive, with guests arriving in perfectly curated outfits that matched the pink theme beautifully. Haylie herself wore a stunning feather dress from Cult Gaia, a piece she had long admired. After a slight panic when the dress was removed from the website, she reached out to the brand, who graciously made it available just for her.
The luncheon was held at her parents’ house, a setting that added a personal touch to the event. “It was truly like a bridal shower should be, with all my favorite girls in one spot,” Haylie reminisces. The décor was an explosion of pink, with Jackson Durham handling the floral and design elements. From the pink linens and napkins to the varying shades of pink in the décor, every detail was meticulously planned.
Haylie worked with several vendors to bring her vision to life. Jackson Durham provided the floral arrangements, while Carly Creative Co. created custom menus, monograms, and napkins. Miss Molly’s Monogram, a family friend, crafted the custom monogram napkins that added a personal touch to the tables. Vestals catered the event, customizing the menu to include as many pink foods as possible, from beet hummus crostini to strawberry balsamic appetizers. They even crafted multiple pink margaritas to perfectly match the theme.
One of Haylie’s favorite aspects of the décor was the pink and white striped umbrellas. “I couldn’t have a poolside pink party without them,” she insists. The varying shades of pink throughout the event, from soft pastels to vibrant fuchsias, created a stunning scene for pre-wedding festivities!
